French Quarter Walking Tour
Do I need to make a reservation or can I just show up?
Reservations are required. The tour could be sold out or not be running so walk ups are not permitted.
How much walking is involved?
It is a leisurely stroll. At the end of the tour you will have walked about a mile. There are no hills but there are a few steps. We recommend comfortable shoes always in New Orleans and especially on tours.
What if it rains?
The tours go rain or shine but we reserve the right to cancel the tour should the weather turn bad enough to do so. We will always try to reschedule first before canceling. 95% of the time the tour will go on as planned. Bring an umbrella or poncho in case of rain.
Can I cancel after I book a tour?
You can cancel up to 24 hours before the tour and receive a full refund. If you cancel after the 24 hour period no refund will be given but you can reschedule without penalty.
Can I tip the tour guide?
Tips are always appreciated but not mandatory. Tour guides work hard to bring you the best experience and most accurate information you can receive. If you feel your guide did a great job then by all means you may compensate them accordingly. No obligations to do so.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We take all major credit cards. You are charged when you book the tour.
If I don't feel comfortable booking online is there another way to book?
You may call to book the tour if you don't want to use the online booking system.
What makes this tour better than others like it?
That's just it, there are NO other tours like this one. We at the Water Collaborative are the innovators of the History of Water Tour and any others that may pop up in the future are copies. We spend our days and nights on this subject. It is not just a hobby or a pastime. This is our passion, our concern and our lives.
Is there anything else we need to know once we book?
A confirmation will be sent to you once you book the tour with all other details. All you'll need to do is show up and get ready to spend a couple hours with us as we journey through the past, present and future.

If I pay for and download the tour is it mine to keep?
Yes you can keep it forever.
Can I walk the tour if I don’t bike?
It covers a good deal of land by car or bike. It is not recommended as a walking tour.
Does Voicemaps have other tours?
Yes. You can download many tours from them to your database on their app.
Custom Tours
What makes a custom tour different from the listed walking tour?
With a custom tour you can set the times of the tour (within limits). You can also visit different spots than the walking tour. If you have your own bus, the guide can step on and lead the tour there, along a preset route. Prices are set based on time, number of people, and all other factors.
Is there food or drink provided on the custom tour?
We can provide a stop for eating a snack or even add an extra drink stop. We can also add a lunch stop for a full day tour.
What is the cancellation policy for the custom tour?
You can cancel the tour up to 72 hours before the time of the tour for a full refund. You can also reschedule up until that time.
Do you provide transportation?
If a bus is required to meet your custom tour needs, we can provide that. There is a bus fee. The amount of that fee depends on the bus company available for your date and time and the size of bus needed.
How do we book a custom tour?
You must contact us to discuss your needs and what we can do. You can be sent an invoice for payment.
